TAMI BRINCKS - CELEBRATING 13 YEARS
History with the
company (Sweet/Ortivus):
I started working at Sweet Computers as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant thirteen-and-a-half years ago. From there I worked as a Sales Assistant but was asked by the CEO to come back to my position as Administrative Assistant. To this position I have also assumed the Human Resource functions of the company.
Current position:
Human Resource Specialist/Administrative Assistant
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
As part of my job at Ortivus, I get to plan the company functions for our employees, so I have many memorable moments at Ortivus. I am really honored to get to do this for our employees, as they work very hard each day here at Ortivus and it is fun to get to reward and celebrate our accomplishments together.
The one moment in my mind that I don’t think that I will ever probably forget is when I was a new employee at Ortivus and the Decorah User Group was going on. I needed to get an answer and forgot to check the schedule before I called the cell phone. I happened to call the CEO during his opening welcome speech to all our attendees. OK, so I felt bad enough and thought that I was going to be in huge trouble. That night the employees where invited to join the customers at a local pizza place. When I walked in, the CEO stood up and introduced me as the one that had called this morning during his welcome and he thought that it was quite funny. Everyone started clapping and as a new employee, I didn’t know what to say, but I sure could feel how red my face was and how the room got instantly hot.
Most enjoyable part of your job:
I know that we all sound like broken records, but truly the most enjoyable part of my job is my co-workers. I am fortunate in my position to be able to work with all of the departments and different Ortivus locations. At Ortivus, we have a very diverse group of people that get along very well and respect each others differences and qualities.
Other Relevant or Interesting Information:
I keep very busy with working at Ortivus, in addition to owning my own video business and in the summer working as an official at Upper Iowa Speedway. In any spare time that I have, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two husky dogs - Cherokee and Sequoia - and scrapbooking. My husband, Aaron, and I enjoy spending time with (or, rather, spoiling) our nieces and nephews, and eight godchildren, which are all very important in our lives. Together, Aaron and I enjoy traveling to visit our family that lives further away, watching local dirt track racing, and just being together.
WELCOME MIODRAG DOCMANOV!!
History with the company:
I’ve been employed by Ortivus since the fourth of September 2007 (Montreal, Canada office).
Current position:

Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
The most memorable event since I’ve been with Ortivus was the Ortivus karting event, it was competitive and really fun. I also enjoy every Tuesday night when the Ortivus employees get together to play indoor hockey; I get to better know my co-workers and build up a friendly relationship within the team.
Most enjoyable part of your job:
The part of the job that I enjoy the most is when the various groups get together to brainstorm and come up with solutions that we can provide to our customers. Ortivus is a well-structured organization where everyone’s role is clearly defined, allowing us to create and implement proposed solutions. I also really enjoy challenging myself and being able to explain my ideas through my use cases, in order to help the other Ortivus teams to achieve their goals.
