Service info:
I started East Coast Ambulance in February of 1998 with the mission of providing the highest level of customer service possible. Ten years later with over 100 employees and 25 vehicles, we are accomplishing that mission everyday at the rate of 30,000 transports a year. We offer ALS, BLS, Bariatric and Wheelchair transportation service to the Baltimore metropolitan area.

What makes our service unique:
Without question, our level of customer service is what sets us apart from all other services in our region.
Software:
Sweet-Billing since 2000
Sweet-CAD since 2004
The Sweet-CAD system allows us to better manage our vehicles in a more efficient manner. It allows us to see where all our crews are and what calls are coming up at a glance. This in turn means faster ETA’s, quicker response times, and better customer service.
The Crystal reports are a great tool for me to use so that I can better manage my management staff. I can design and run reports for just about anything I need. I can track call intake percentage by employee, dispatch on time percentage, vehicle trip count, etc. These reports allow me to make changes or adjustments based on facts and figures not just ‘feel.’
In an effort to streamline my billing department even further, my next investment will be Sweet- Field Data.
Advice:
One little piece of wisdom that I have learned over the years is that you cannot do everything (or every job) yourself. Surround yourself with good people.
Other interest:
Last year I opened up Maryland’s first upscale tattoo studio. Flesh Tattoo Company offers a clean, drug free, customer service driven environment specializing in custom tattoo designs. While you’re in Baltimore for the JEMS Expo in 2008, stop in and get some ink.
