For Ortivus customers who continue to utilize Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition (SE), or Windows Millennium Edition (ME), please note that effective June 30, 2006 Microsoft will be discontinuing paid incident support and critical security updates for these operating systems, click here to read more. Online self-help support for these operating systems will continued to be offered by Microsoft until June 30, 2007.

No-charge incident support and extended hotfix support for Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE ended on June 30, 2003 while the same support for Windows ME ended December 31, 2003.

Due to the high number of security attacks computer systems are under these days, it is recommended customers who utilize Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, and Windows ME should build a migration plan to move away from these operating systems to newer Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Microsoft is scheduled to release Windows Vista by the end of 2006, however Ortivus cautions customers from moving their Sweet applications to this operating system until the applications have been certified by Ortivus to run on Windows Vista.
