Real-Time Rules and Security Enhancements Introduced in Sweet-Billing/Field Data 5.3.1 - Released Today!
Real-Time Rules is a new feature in Sweet-Field Data that will accelerate data entry for the user. Utilizing the existing Run Type settings, the labels on fields, buttons and tabs change in real-time to indicate which fields need to be filled out to satisfy the 'required' and 'prompt' rules defined in the run type.
Security enhancements include the ability to limit the patient data stored on the Field Data remote units to only the data that has not been datalinked to Sweet-Billing/Station. Utilization of this new feature substantially reduces the liability of a lost laptop.
Microsoft Vista is fully supported with this release; the Sweet-Field Data remote has been migrated from Microsoft MSDE 2000 to Microsoft SQL 2005 Express.
In Sweet-Billing, Company code payor overrides has been expanded to help smooth the transition to NPI. A number of reports have been enhanced, and support for additional state run sheets has been added.
A phased roll-out of Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data version 5.3.1 is beginning today. Most customers that have Sweet-Billing without Sweet-Field Data can download this update from www.ortivusna.com. It is anticipated that the download will be available to all "Sweet-Billing only" customers in early January 2008.
Customers with Sweet-Field Data or Sweet-CAD will be shipped update CDs. The updates will be shipped in batches over the next several weeks.
