Ortivus Partners with The Mercy Group in Providing Online Educational Offerings for the EMS Industry

Ortivus is pleased to announce a new venue to deliver their managerial and billing educational webinars to the EMS Industry. The Mercy Group, through its web-based Virtual Solutions Manager (VSM) is now offering these courses to their subscribers.

The Mercy Group developed VSM in 2001 as a response to the increasing demands being placed on EMS in an atmosphere of organizational down-sizing. VSM is a powerful application designed to assist healthcare organizations in dealing with current regulatory and educational demands.

Ortivus prides itself in being a partner, not just a software supplier, to their customers. In keeping with this vision, Ortivus’ partnership with The Mercy Group provides our respective clients with easier means to stay in compliance with ever increasing state and federal regulations, as well as being informed about helpful business practices in the billing/EMS industry..

Ortivus, since 1985, has developed billing and other software products in the EMS field. These years of accumulated knowledge and experience in a complex industry, have resulted in the development of comprehensive educational offerings that will now be shared with a broader market in the EMS field.

The Mercy Group’s VSM offers six (6) modules, including Continuing Education which provides both online education and monitors and tracks employee certifications/licenses and course activity. It is through this portal Ortivus’ webinars are delivered to The Mercy Group subscribers. These educational presentations include a variety of topics ranging from the Ambulance Fee Schedule and EMS documentation advice, to grant seeking and coding clinics.

All courses can be fully completed online, without travel or scheduling hassles. The VSM-subscribed members can access the Ortivus recordings by logging onto their secure VSM application using their respective login and password. Ortivus Support Maintenance Agreement (SMA) customers also have access to these recordings through the support section of the Ortivus website.
