Sweet-CAD Version 5.2 Release Available
The new release of Sweet-CAD Version 5.2 became accessible for general availability (GA) June 16, 2006. As with past releases, and consistent with Ortivus' strategy, this release was built on the company's commitment to customers, as well part of the vision for the Sweet product line for the future. With over 2,600 EMS providers relying on Sweet-Billing, Ortivus realizes the importance of integrating the Sweet-Billing with other frequently utilized applications; applications such as field data, automatic vehicle location (AVL) and computer aided dispatch (CAD), all of which Ortivus develops and markets. By integrating all of these applications within the Sweet product line, professionals in the EMS industry experience greater efficiencies in workflow, more accurate database and records, reduced time spent learning and excelling at the software applications, and less time spent on the administrative side of working with multiple vendors versus one.
New functionality and features have been introduced including:
- Late Performance Checking – This feature detects late performance on both Emergency and pre-scheduled incidents. Emergency incident performance is based on response timers that can vary based on priority and location. Pre-scheduled incidents are determined late if a vehicle has not arrived on scene by the scheduled pickup time. A system setting can require a dispatcher to enter a late reason for an incident before archiving.
- Send Dispatch Details – This feature allows a snapshot of the details of a dispatch to be manually sent to the pagers associated with the dispatch. This function is useful for re-sending the details when a page has been missed.
- CES TRK-240 interface – This optional interface supports the mobile data, AVL and status button functionality of the CES TRK-240 mobile data terminal.
