Ortivus North America Receives Registration Trademark
Ortivus North America (NA) received its Federal Registration Trademark, protecting the use of its name and logo, in Canada in March of 2005, and in the United States in May of 2005. Ortivus NA has two offices, located in Montreal, Canada and Iowa, USA. The Registered Trademark – Ortivus, Inc. – and the logo - an oval shape with a human figure in the center – were developed when the former companies, Sweet Computer Services, Inc and AVeL-TECH, Inc. merged in November of 2003 under the same parent company, Ortivus AB.
The new name – Ortivus, Inc., doing business as Ortivus North America – identifies the two North American subsidiaries as a component of the parent company – Ortivus AB – located in Stockholm, Sweden. The new logo was developed to accompany the newly combined organization that was more encompassing of the combined Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Public Safety industries. The design that was chosen represents the human dimension of Ortivus NA as its primary focus and resource – both customers and employees; the human shape symbolizing people and the circular shape representing the “O” in Ortivus NA, as well as momentum (i.e. adapting quickly to industry changes and needs).
Parent company, Ortivus AB, under the new leadership of Mikael Strindlund, intends to strengthen the union between all members of the Ortivus Group even further as the organization strives toward its goal of strengthening the company's position on local markets as well as internationally through organic growth and acquisitions within complementary areas.
